YES, we have event dates at Park City, in the "Sears Auto Center" corner. It's a nice large area, not often used so it's not broken up, and is pretty large. Check the region calendar page for all the Autocross details. Registration opens at 8am, first car off 10am.
Our events primarily are Autocross, so check the Region's site for information about events in the area.
SSCC Sadly announces the loss of another long time member, Larry Bickel
Larry was our treasurer for a very long time. He was a hill climb driver and raced in Triumphs and TVRs. He helped SSCC do timing for many years. He enjoyed collecting 1:18th scale model cars and had a huge collection of them with a lot of Porsches. Larry was fond of telling stories of his racing days, and sometimes had a very dry sense of humor. His hill climb friends will remember him for the famous Duryea turn 7 crash he had, where he missed braking and went into a hay bale and also a photographer, who flipped upside down. There is a photo of the crash just as the photographer was legs-up in mid air (I believe he was uninjured). His brother Jim remembered him on what would have been his 54th birthday at turn 7. He died Oct 13, 2007.
