SERIES RULES AND CLASSES
Novice Class:
- Open to anyone who has never rallied before.
- Also open to inexperienced teams and teams with a degree of previous lack
of success.
- Not open to any team that has run more than 75% of the rallies in the last
three seasons.
- Trophies provided to top team (1 trophy for every 10 cars) for each event.
- Year end series trophies provided to top finishers.
Limited Class:
- Must run in this if you won more than 6 individual events in the Novice
Class in the last two years.
- Must run in this class if you have won the Novice Class year end trophy.
- More experienced teams are encouraged to run in this class.
- Trophies provided to top teams (1 trophy for every 10 cars) for each event.
- Year end series trophies provided to top finishers. Must have run 5 out of
the 8 events to be eligible.
Unlimited Class:
- Must run in this class if using a "Rallye Computer": Defined as
auxiliary equipment that can calculate time, speed and distance in the same
unit (not factory for the vehicle.) If in doubt ask.
- Must run in this class if you have won the series "Expert Class"
[previous to the 1999 season} more than once in the last 4 years.
- No individual event trophies are given.
- Year end series trophies given to the top finisher only.
Scoring, Ect:
- Scoring is based on an 8 Rallye series.
- Only the driver and navigator will accrue Rallye series points. Extra
passengers will not.
- Rallye teams must run in the class of the most experienced partner.
- Only up to 5 individual events will count for year end points. After 5
events the lowest scores will be dropped.
- Rallye Masters will get first place points for setting up one rallye per
year. Limited and Unlimited Rallye Masters must check an additional Rallye to
receive their 15 points. However, availability of rallyes to check will be
taken into consideration.
- Any questions or conflicts about a rallye or rules on the day of the event
will be dealt with by the following 3 person committee:
- One of the Two Rallye Chairs (Allen N. Marshall or Rich Mantz)
- One of the 2 Rallye Masters for the event.
- A member of the Rallye Committee who is present, impartial to the dispute
(if possible), and selected by the Rallye Chair(s).
